Fat People Prone to Sexual Disorders


NEW YORK - Overweight or obesity more viscous it with things smelling diseases, including sexual health. Recent research shows, though rarely make sexual activity, those who suffer from obesity were more prone to sexual problems.

In a study that proves, how obesity can now be dangerous of sexual health, experts from the UK and France also declared, obese women tend to be reluctant to ask for advice or taking contraceptive pills. As for male patients with obesity were more likely to suffer impotence or erectile dysfunction.

With the outbreak phenomenon of obesity in developed countries and a growing trend in developing countries, the experts stated that the public health impact of the findings were very important. In the United States, for example, two-thirds of adults are overweight or obese.

The study, published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ) was initiated by Professor Nathalie Bajos from the National Institute for Health and Medical Research (INSERM), France. This is the first large study that investigated the impact of overweight or obesity towards sexual activity and other factors, such as sexual gratification, without plan pregnancy, and abortion.


Bajos and histeam examined the sexual behavior of 12 364 respondents (male and female) with age 18-69 years. Half of the respondents have a normal weight by body mass index (BMI) 18.5 to 25. As many as 2,500 of them are overweight, with BMI 25 to 30, and as many as 750 of them were overweight with a BMI of more than 30.

Sexual harassment was not associated with BMI in women, but women fat and under 30 years of age are less likely than normal women to ask for advice or to use contraception and oral contraceptives are more likely to report that they are pregnant out of plan.

The study also revealed that obese women face a five times greater likelihood of finding a partner on the Internet, and more likely to have a partner who is also overweight. They also are less likely to view sex as important to balance your personal life
