Smokers do not Have Health Insurance!




Health Insurance. Jakarta: space motion of smokers in Jakarta increasingly limited. Having previously issued local regulations to ban smoking in public places, DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is now re-watching the the smokers. The reason, health care insurance of poor families (JPK Gakin) for those who are smokers will be withdrawn.


According to the Governor of Jakarta, Fauzi Bowo, this plan refers to the data Indonesian Consumers Foundation (YLKI) that 22 percent of the total expenditure of the poor in a month is used to buy cigarettes. As a result, provides free health insurance for the poor who spend money for the smoking habit is considered unfair.
