Excess Weight Loss Causes Cancer

Excess Weight Loss Causes Cancer - The discovery of the evidence now shows that being overweight can increase the risk of colon cancer, kidney, pancreas, adenocarcinoma of the esophagus, and endometrium, such as: breast cancer in menopause. The report recommends that people be directed to maintain weight at a healthy limitation (18.5 to 24.9) based on the BMI chart throughout adult life. Further recommends to keep the stay slim in these limits.

This recommendation is more stringent than AICR - and other organizations in general - who handles the same thing before, and illustrates the strength of the evidence that has been raised several years ago. When the AICR report was first published in 1997, only the facts link between obesity against endometrial cancer assessed convincing.

"The recommendation was to show what science reveals to us today. Even though a little excess fat, especially around the waist, can increase that risk, "said James.

Because the facts of overweight people increased, the new report offers two recommendations based on the facts on how to avoid being overweight.

1. The report calls for restrictions on the amount of "energy-dense foods, particularly processed foods high in sugar, low-fiber foods, and foods high in fat. Burger, fried foods, cow's milk, and pastries are examples of foods that are mentioned in the report, as well as drinks that contain sugar.

2. The report recommends that physically active at least 30 minutes every day. Facts indicating that physical activity provides a double benefit by reducing the risk of cancer in addition to maintaining body weight remains balanced, which also serves as a precaution.
