8 Important Sport Reducing Pain - When the disease is being approached the body, we like to find a reason to stop exercising. And, in fact exercise can reduce pain and improve quality of life.

It's not easy to exercise when sick. However, the good news is you do not need to do strenuous exercise. "Many things can be done to move the body. Exercise not only can reduce the perception of pain, but also prevents loss of bodily functions," said Perry Fine of the American Pain Foundation.

1. Walking

2. Swim

"Swimming is very good for those who suffer from osteoarthritis as well as muscle and joint disease," said Dr. Fine, a professor from the University of Utah School of Medicine. Swimming and other water sports to defy gravity so it is not dangerous for the joints.

3. Yoga

Activities if breathing in yoga exercise is effective for reducing chronic pain as well as other sports. However, not all movements in yoga can be done by people who are sick.

"There are yoga movements involving the spine and other joints so that the potential injury. Do it a comfortable and appropriate movement ability. There is no need to force the motion you normally do when you're healthy," said Steven Calvino, expert medical rehabilitation.

4. Taichi

Never too old to perform this type of sport (Tai Chi). As long as you are still unable to move, even slightly, you can still do the sport that harmonize body and mind.

The study, reported in the New England Journal of Medicine recently stated, tai chi is done twice a week will reduce pain, stiffness, and fatigue experienced by fibromyalgia patients. Exercise also improves strength and balance the body.

5. Light stretching

6. Sports expenses

Weight training is highly recommended, especially for those suffering from rheumatism. This exercise will strengthen the joints around the injured part. To start, you can use canned sardines or small bottles of mineral water. Gradually, add your burden.

7. Sex

Intimate feelings and connect with your partner can help people who are suffering from illness. "Exercise and a healthy sex are two things that are important to reduce the pain," said Fine.

8. Golf

This activity will provide benefits as when you do exercise on foot. However, exercise is not recommended for those suffering from spinal pain. Golf is also recommended to be combined with strength training and stretching.
